I've no idea what an .ink file is... But that's an .Lnk file... ie. a URL link or shortcut...

...in this case, it SEEMS to be a shortcut to this JPGin his Document's folder. ><

Ya put in the shortcut to the picture, and not the picture itself, hoss.
