yeah that's what i was trying to say too... making new players (new to both MSC and MSS) feel like they are missing out of something just cause that started with MSS rather then MSC would only make fewer people wanna play/try MSS...
so if any kind of reward was to be made or anything at all to...
just wondering... how easy would it be to check if there is a save file for a SteamID? or will it have to be "unfolded" first?
guess i just like the idea of getting like a Veteran Title or hat or something for having played MSC ^^;
maybe not as interesting as whole quest stories and so... but i...
well... it sound very possible... if MSC and MSS will use the same server as a database ^^;
but not sure how useful it'd be... i mean it'd kinda make people feel even more like that'd have to play MSC before they play MSS...
but i guess something simple like giving you a title or something so...
i know it's a long shot and so... but it should be possible to hack the client to then control the damage... wouldn't it? :?
just saying that it could be a bad idea in the long run... but i don't know much about it :?
but if someone where to do it... it would be a pretty bad Exploit/Cheat...
yeah i guess it won't be easy... but if you could get the servers to communicate... one server could tell the other to change map... and then help the people leave onto that server... that way they don't have to join a server that's in a hub and travel again ^^;
paying for fast travel? i am kinda in it to say it's a good idea... at least mostly... just shouldn't be over done and should scale a bit with level and number of people maybe...
also... in Borderlands you can't change to a new area unless everyone is willing... why not try that too? i mean...
reminds me of way-points from Diablo2... and i guess it'd work...
but what problem... how'd you fix the "i am joining this server that is in XF" but the player haven't been to XF before... he just can't join that server then? he's have to join a server that's at a area close to and walk...
well... i wouldn't mine that at all... i haven't played Oblivion for some time... but i did like the system... just saying that... it would be a little hard to use on the fly... while in combat...
so yeah... some good hotkeys to go to just the tab you need would be nice...
just i remember...
System #2:
as far as i remember... in Oblivion the game pauses when you open the "window"... that's the only real reason i'd say it's good... cause you can take your time looking for the tab you want...
but since this is a multiplayer game... i don't think we would be able to pause the game...
i can't say i haven't been wondering my self... since i think i first heard about it... lets see... when did Source come out again? ^^;
e
anyway... i just think it'd be mean to ask... and it's kinda more like a... well... surprise if i don't know? XD
this is what i mean yeah... would make it more MMO like ^^; rather that's good or bad... i don't know ^^;
i don't know that mod/game... but what does the ping/lag have to do with the feature? wouldn't that just be your connect to the server?
but the problem with that is that what if it's a level 1 newbie that join a server/map with a group of high levels? then he should just get an equal share of the EXP too?
that's mostly the thing...
in zOMG (a flash MMO on GaiaOnline.com) that have it so that you get maximum amount of loot/EXP...
that was what i had in mind too... but the part about Source having longer load/connection times is a little true...
but yeah i would love this... would kinda make the game more like a MMO where you can meet people randomly ^^;
