It's about a religious dude trying to convince people that there is a god and that the big bang theory is bullsh*t. Being an atheist, I find him quite amusing to watch trying to explain why evolution is stupid.

I believe in God, but this is just one of those guys that gives bad name to religion. I hate the people that say "Uh, no no. My religion is the only possible explaination. I don't care that you think a guy said [this], it's a LIE"

I watched the first 20 minutes of it and I must admit that he does bring up some good points. Aside from that whole trying to save you thing.

Evolution doesn't have all the answers and some of it is based on belief. Just like Christianity is. I don't like how he attacks evolution though when his religion is just as bad. But not all of his points can be proven wrong.

Those munks in Tibet are rather peaceful, as far as I know. They don't go crazy and kill people because they refuse to believe in their religion. I like their religion, the best, because of that. I do, however, not believe in it.

He brings up a lot of points that sound good on the surface, but I didn't hear any that actually were good, if any thought or research had gone into them. I don't remember him bringing up any points that weren't derived from a lie or misinformation or quote out of context, save may haps his opinion of certain individuals, which are somewhat less than debatable. Certainly all his points regarding the closed-mindeness of certain individuals are extreme examples of the pot calling the kettle black.

I'm not convinced it is his belief system though. I think his belief system stops at "I'm right and your wrong" - as there are lots of very religious anti-evolutionist people who would have extreme disagreement with a lot of what he's said. The man is not consistent with any religion save his own righteousness, which for most people, is what fundamentalism is all about to begin with.

Only because it's extremely hard to believe.

Religion = good, as long as it's not being pushed on to people. Seriously, super-religious people really need to stop trying to "convert" me into their religion, if I don't want to join, let me be!! Not like they're going to hell for not rescuing me.

Speaking of Atheism. Can anyone post me some links about this "religion(?)" I would really like to no more about it. I know they don't believe in any gods, but do they have a set moral code or something to that extent? And I really don't know why people always need to rub in that they are an atheist.

EDIT:And on the video that villager posted. The guy who posted the video says "Dane Cook on atheism. I'm an atheist and I still find this hilarious!" Once again, why do people have the need to say they are atheist. The majority of my friends are atheist but they don't go around saying "well I'm atheist" or "being an atheist."

By claiming to be a Buddhist I of course mean that she only brought up the fact that she was Buddhist in situations like you mentioned or any other time that would "shock" people or make them feel awkward.
