Never had this issue... Got a screenie?

Could be an issue with matching texture names, but seems there shouldn't be. (Should re-load textures on map load, as the other maps point at different wads)

Next nightmare map I figure I'll do via recompile instead of ripent - it's not all that much more work I suppose, for those which I have the full source.

Wonder why it refuses to do this on mine... ATI or Nvidia?

Sadly, just a curious, as if that is the case, there's nothing I can think to do about it. Can't change texture names from Ripent. Could do it via recompile, but it'd mean distro'ing a new map. (ie. "Your map doesn't match the server's" errors galore)

Never assume I know anything. The one thing I know, is that I know nothing.... That, and all generalizations are false.

I have this problem occasionally. It happens when you play one version of thornlands and then the other. The textures from the other one are carried over to the one you play. Leads to a strange climate crash (snowy mountainous walls and green, green grass).

It looks like you still have the bloom mod on. Did you try removing it?

its not the bloom mod, both me and Mib get this bug when transfering from thornlands -> nightmare thornlands, edana -> nightmare thornlands, and vice versa.

It can easily be fixed, its just a matter of renaming the nightmare thornlands wad textures to something else eg: "*name*_nm"

Whats happening is the textures from the first map version thats loaded are being put into the cache, and are being used on the other map, as they have the same names. As far as the PC is aware, "rock" is the same texture on each map, because they have the same names.

Rename the nightmare texture version, recompile and it will disapear

Yes, that's what Squirrel was saying. Problem is, I don't think we have the thornland's source, so renaming the wads won't do any good because n_t will still be looking for 'blah' and not 'nightmare_blah'

Decompile doesn't work for other reasons, as well. It takes each face and turns it into a separate brush, so if you were to recompile and run it, it would lag you so hardcore that....MS:S would be done before you could move a foot. OH!
