Yesterday sucked. It was like a friggin' hurricane (as everyone will tell you on in the northwest).

I had like 6 trees down where I live, never had so many either. One across the road, another simulatenously blocking and resting in a nice big hole which was my garage roof, another hanging precariously 25m above the road, another snapped the power line, another two nearby, and finally one juuust hanging over the public road (had to squeeze through the opposite lane to get through.

:oldcry: My mom will work me to death (debris and sh*t)

I suppose I'm getting back into MS:C, as RO and HL2 are total bitches when it comes to graphics problems. Shame. At least I'll be able to rediscover it all again :)

HAHAHAHHAHAA

I am proud to live in Michigan in the sense that I only suffer from thunder-storms after the East Coast has been hit by hurricanes :oldlol:

Then again... thanks to drunk drivers and rampant high-winds, plus MANY pine trees which fall over frequently... I probably lose power about ten or twelve times a year, when it isn't so bad. During the winter the ice-rain can get so bad that it'll freeze the power-lines into shitting out on me... just this year in like January or February there was no power for something along the lines of ten or thirteen days after a several day stretch of ice-rain....
(Entire lakes would cover over with like a foot of ice)

I live in California... We do not have this thing you call "weather"

...instead our power goes out regularly due to a deregulated power industry and corporate greed... Yay! We have regular 'rolling brown-outs' in the summer in which we lose power once or twice a week (sometimes more).

Effing twelve geo thermal generators in Big Bear and Arrowhead. All functional and running as per federal law. All owned by big oil, and hooked to nothing, as per the loophole (powering nothing but their own bleedin lights). And the only Nuclear power faucilities we have left are running at 3% capacity. Gotta love profitable power shortages. ;)

Underwear gnome economics.

Step1 Reduce power efficiency
Step2 (?)
Step3 PROFIT!

( Or rather, simply that less supply + more demand = more valuable supply. )
