Did anything interesting even get released this christmas?
It felt so uneventful, no blackmesa source media, afaik no mod released, no special news, no media release from any game, no news of episode 3, no new msc patch.

Was kinda dull this year. Only new thing i noted was a Starcraft 2 demo which is hardly anything special when you own the game.

I was hoping for a Christmas release... Could still happen, I suppose... Got back from party #1, gotta deal with party #2 tomorrow... I got some last minute wrapping and cards to make, but if I get those done early, I'll have a few hours...

Main thing is to MP test some of the bug fixes on these chests since the last alpha... I suppose, if I wanted to rush it, I could let a local MP test suffice... Got three rigs here to do it with.

Not trying to be picky or anything, but I would appreciate if my soundtracks and the scientist animations made it.
Who knows when the next update is gonna be and I would like to see if my project can work, if it cant then theres always someone else who can use those animations.

Never got what I asked for, in regards to the civies, and MP3's do not compress well, so I'm not fattening up the package with them when they aren't in use. It's not as if you can't stick em in yourself for testing, in either case - dun need us to do it fer ya.

Well you did put two unused Nashalrath Mp3 in the pack(They are used in the updated version but we all know how thats going)...At least include Mspools and underwater 2 for the community...Pleeease?

As for the civvies I did upload the staff, rosenberg head, and animations, was that not what you wanted?

Also can you pm me the Nashalrath source and the depth elf models?, I have an idea on how to save the map and get the much needed upgrade released at last.

There are two MP3's that aren't in use? Which ones? I've been looking for a way to shave some size off this thing. ;)

But in regards to the civies, when I asked for head #11, related BMP's, and the swim.smd, in the thread of insanity #21 (though it may have been #22, I'm just not sure anymore), you sent me a package with nearly everything but, as if to say, "This stuff is moar imp0rt4nt!", to which I say, "pfft."

Since I am trying to get the map upgrade released I'd rather not have the soundtracks removed removed, you know how slow these patches comes. Actually I wish you would add mspools and underwater2 as those are the most important for my shipwreck map.

I sent a package with head 11, the new animations, as swim is not the only one i need, treadwater, corpsefloat, jump etc. are just as important. I included the bmps and the staff too.
I will reupload it here for you.

I have opted to include the texture fixes I made for the existing faces though
(Note the Freeman face's nose, or the einstein face's moustache, or the gman's face)
If you don't like them, dont use them but I suggest you look at them.

Can you send me the Nashalrath and Depth elf source though?

Not had the chance to comb through them as there's a hell of a lot more than I asked for.

Well its obvious that animations are animations.
Its pretty easy to sort them out just by looking at the filenames
(treadwater,get_stomped,swim, etc.)


If you open the QC file of the Bloodrose elf, most of those animations should actually be there.
Just copy them into the new scientist QC and compile, same for the texture fix for the gman eyes, einstein moustache and freeman nose.(Should also be obvious due to their names, ex sci_face etc.)

As for the staff and rosenhead those are not important now, I just included them because you wanted them.

Do you need more help or do you have inquiries as its important to get those animations in for next patch.

all smd files not starting with SCI3 are animations with the exception of staff.
The rest are textures.

That should sort it out.
And yes Age, I did...That head and staff were a contribution, but they are not needed for my future project.
The animations on the other hand, are needed.
