How dare it have a corrupted registry!

I am not looking forward to the recovery process, oh well I guess I should be happy that I can actually save it... well sort of.

I have decided my computer just hates me right now. If I was smart I would have backed up all my stuff awhile back when it first started acting up... Oh well thats what knoppix is for I guess, best CD based OS ever!

Mine either stays in line, or it gets replaced. Very easily replaced.

If my computer acts up; I fix it.

By formatting the hard-drive & reinstalling everything... saying it fails to restore the backup (since my secondary drive is purely meant to restore the O/S).

Well my computer is all happy again, I had to stab it with the low level format utility so it could be reborn new again, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

hey thothie have you tried a computer exorcism? That usually works, or maybe you haven't sacrificed a virgin computer for the computer gods lately. The gods really like that

There's also the usual goat-computer spilling of silicon blood, that usually pleases the computer gods

They prefer the virgin computers though, the ones that haven't been plugged in yet.
