Thothie responds:
As for why this patch has been slow, itâs nothing to do with anything youâve done. Itâs mostly the fact that Iâm almost never home. Iâm taking care of my grandfather, who has the shingles, while at the same time, alternating between his house, my house, and Lady Xâs dadâs house, who is (also) on his death bed (more so). No one wants to force either of these guys into a hospice or retirement home, as while they are semi-invilids, the can still handle most basic bodily functions for themselves, and neither really wants to be watched over by strangers either. This is going to sound absolutely sick, but unless something magical happens, or (until) one of them dies, Iâve got almost no time for MSC - and when I do have time, I often donât have net access, which complicates things. Thereâs no internet access, wireless or otherwise, at Lady Xâs house, save once in a blue moon - and the only access and grampâs house involves leaching off a neighborâs unsecured network via a repeater I installed here - and such access is very intermittent.
When Iâm home, Iâm spending the majority of my time fixing all the stuff that broke while I was out (ie. work related crap), and rushing to get done all my work uploaded, and such, while I still have solid net access. By the time Iâm done with that Iâm exhausted and brain-dead, and want to take advantage of my one opportunity to actually play games.
Also much of the last two weeks of October were taken up when my Uncle died and I wound up driving my Aunt all over the place while she was here - in addition to all that - don't ask me how I volunteered for that job.
Seriously, Iâm burning out. If this keeps up I may need to find another caretaker for the project.
You don't have to guarantee us anything; I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we're already grateful to you for releasing patches as often as you doThothie said:Canât guarantee anything being on-time though, but hopefully itâs a Christmas present, and not a new yearâs celebration. And hopefully Iâll cram at least half as much new stuff into it as a I want to in order to make it worth the extra wait.
