Deralia Crash Test

Map with ms_player_spawn, ms_player_begin, and ms_player_spec runs fine. If a script worked, it stayed, if it caused a crash, it was removed.

added ms_npc with gate guard script, worked.

added ms_npc with deralia commoner script, crash. removed.

added ms_npc with deralia guard barracks script. worked.

added ms_npc with deralia pat script. worked.

added ms_npc with healer script. worked.

added ms_npc with healer02 script. worked.

Update: Removed all deralia/commoner scripts, map now loads. Contact me, ScottsOtherAim on AIM and I will send you the working Deralia.

only deralia_commoners. there is another type of commoner that is fine, I should probably replace the deralia commoners with them.

Thank you very much for your help Scottc, I am going to be looking into it tonight as well other problems with various maps.

I'm going to kill Kuroneko, I suspected that and asked him to check the commoner scripts.

What made you suspect that? Is there something unusual about about the commoner scripts? (besides the fact that they are bugged).

Yes, Deralia is pretty much the only map that has custom commoners specifically made for the map. Other maps use a generic commoner script. These commoners were added shortly before release and weren't tested fully. That is why I immediately suspected them.

Did you fix Deralia's broken commoners? Also, I went through every item on goblintown that had a script, and nothing crashed for me.... However when trying to load the map, I crash... I'm thinking of writing a program that will go through an ent file and delete all but one type of entities, and the spawn entities, and then I try each ent file on the map until I find one that crashes for goblintown. yw ewok.

When you go directly to deralia, you get an error message: "Cache_UnlinkLRU: NULL link", I have to go to another map before I go there.

Umm, the water doesn't reflect. I thought Deralia was my only hope, and that f'n thief steals more money when he is dead then when he is alive.

Alot of the chat/quest scripts seem broken too. But hey! A dull finely crafted knife!

Not sure if Deralia caused this or not, but as soon as I came off of that map my character was replaced with someone else's. I didn't select that character. I restarted MS in hopes of it giving me back my character (which it normally does), but this time it didn't for some reason.

The character is in another slot (slot2) and his name is Orchosity or something similar. I was using Fuznet on my own (listen) server with the newest patch and sc.dll.

I hope I provided enough info...and I'm wondering if I can do anything to fix it or if Fisheh needs to (or hell...even one of the Dev team members).

-EDIT- It's fixed now...it just took longer for it to get straightened out this time.

Don't be so vague.

The rat quest seems to be broken, alot of people dont have hello on their f11 list, but they DO respond.

That one guy in the back says buzz off if you say OK, but I cant get the context in which would cause him to say that.

And dead hostile commoner gives -# of money. -145 once!
