Directlinking

if you directlink a picture on your webpage does it takes space from the webpage it was directlinked from? some people i know says that, but i dont see the logic in it.

If by space, you mean bandwith, I would think that it takes an initial bit to "DL" it to your website, but then it would use yours from then on.

Of course, I never know what I'm talking about, I just write down what sounds right (as Thothie well knows) ^_^

Yes, technically you are stealing their bandwidth.

direct linking is stealing bandwidth (because its using the picture "direct"[ly] from thier site), yes...but if you get the picture, and host it on YOUR site, and link it from YOUR site...its not stealing thier bandwidth, its using YOURS...get it now?
