Elven?

Hey I just got to the treasure room of mscave for the third time and I can't pick up anything in the chests up that is "Elven". Everytime I try to pick up the ESS or the ELB it says I can't afford it? But I'm not paying for it. Any thoughts?

Oh also, how the hell do you open that door in the cave? I've killed every orc and skeleton in the cave and it wont open.

Door? (Tries to think of where there's a door)... There's a bugged arrow slit in one wall... and... The temple... Maybe he's thinking of the door in the temple... Much like Goblin Town, I think that's a transition that hasn't been implemented yet.

As for the inability to pull certain objects out of chests, and it asking for cash, I've gotten that bug too. I'm not entirely sure what causes it, as sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't. It maybe weight or level related though. You can try dropping stuff. It is possible to get those things out of there though, at least, some of the time.

BTW: to all those still making maps (and to myself should I ever get around to making another) - there are MANY open transitions on these maps, and you can add more or customize them via ripent, so why don't we start making maps that connect to the existing ones? I figure it might be less time consuming than making whole new series. (Not to mention, as I've said before, this engine is perfect for a edana sewer style map).

Uh actually I am refering to the wall with the beig archway in it and the metal plate in the middle of it. its through one of the caves off the main room. And where the hell is that book in there the guys wants?Oh and the elven bug? I think its because I sold an Elven Long bow? Not sure but that could be it. Oh and as an unrelated question, does anyone know if are .char files will be carried over to MS:C? I'd rather it not if they maybe found a way to get past ArtMoney.

Nope. You gotta make a new guy in ms:c. no carrying over your old one from ms.

I think goblin town and sewers are the only ones that are setup, but there are lots of other areas that obviously should contain transitions, but, as of yet, do not. You can add a transition anywhere, by dupping a brush and making it into a transition via ripent, with no need for the players to redownload the map.

Oh, and the book you want aint on that map.

The book is in the cave to the left of the mercenary, not the cave that´s just 10ft and exits in thornlands again, you have to climb at some rocks and then slash some cracked walls and come to a shaking chackt (translation?) where there is a chest with the book and a club. sometimes the hugger dagger is in there.

Ok I went into there and defeated the skeletons and a chest appeared but the book wasn't there. Just an axe and some other junk :/

EDIT: Oh wait I found it behind another cracked wall ok ty!

Wrong chest, but you are close. The book chest is fairly well hidden.

In case you wanna know, you can't go through there. There's nothing behind that metal plate, it's just the end of the map.

But you can use your imagination and pretend there are flying purple hippos behind the metal plate.
