Could pull the SRO bit, where the females are basically an entire different class, that has to go grab their own armor and weapons. ...Dunno where we get the army of modelers to make all that. ATM, the internal code overrides the scripts attempts to affect the playermodels, so, till Fuzzy gets settled, or I track down yet another coder, I suspect this is out for HL1.

Have a few NPC chicks lined up though...

I can answer this very shortly: NO

In the case of this model, I think it's better suited for a npc_female.
But, as far as I can remember there was a female playermodel shown by the old MasterSword-team (not the one, which is currently in the MS:Cmodelfolder), but I can't find a screenshot or anything else in the web, so i can not prove it.
Well, I'm not the best skinner and a worse animator, so if somebody want to finish/work with this model - you can get it

Hell, there's only like what....2 female NPCs in the whole game? That merchant's wife and the barmaid in Edana....some good anims to use (although a bit dirty, some of them) are the female hostage pack from CS (I need to find the link)

Damn RPing with female characters will be kind of freaking funny! as soon as theres a model for female characters, I'll be starting a new female char!

I vote female characters are attached with new exotic weaponry! Something like a double sided blade which has heavy power to it, but attacks a little bit faster than a one sided blade. Also... a SPEAR! That'd rock, to have a spear which goes through armor

Furthermore, with female characters it is my vote that new monsters are added, complex ones too. Horsemen, to use the spears on!
