Heavy crossbow problems

I'm trying to level up archery, and often click a lot to try to get the next bolt out, but when I click too soon, the attack animation shows, but no bolt is actually fired, forcing me to reload before I can try again

Steam screwed with the mouse interface awhile back, and the crossbows were a little unusual with their interfaces to begin with, so I could see where problems may ensue. I shall have to examine.

Not that we haven't always had a problem with xbows jamming to one degree or another.

Which bow is causing you the most issue, the light, heavy, or steam?
