How the hell did they do that? It's a half-life mod, but they put all the required stuff in it so it doesn't need half-life. Is that allowed? Why don't we do that if we can? That could probably get a few more players to join if it could be played for "free."

I still want to know how they did that though. I think that's a neat idea.

HLWE is the latest stress reliever for MS:C player frustrated of so much farming and leveling.

EDIT: latest HLWE version is 1.5.0.6

Either they aren't using the HL base (very unlikely), they paid Sierra developers licencing fees (even more unlikely), or they are unaware of the EULA packaged with steam/HL (most likely).

It's asking for a CD-key. :roll:

How do you know its not a HL CD-KEY? You make me sad with your posts Thothie.

Cuz it has too many numbers. HL-CD keys are 13 numbers long - this is more like a Windows 64-bit encryption key (25 character digits).

Ignore the supplied HL and just look for the mod folder and cut and paste it in your steam folder

I was less interested in the mod itself in that they might be trying to "fight the powah". I'd love to see the drama that unfolds when they get the beat down, but apparently, no such luck.
