Hosting Website?

would it help if i hosted a website that would allow people to upload there files for MSC? instead of everyone go all over the place to find a place to upload?

it doesnt have everything... just the popular things...

what he could do is make the website witht he uploads but make it have profiles... and a top downloads list... that way everyones files could be viewed and people who didnt want to look for cool or random things "model replacements and such" they could just look at the top downloads list. i think it would be pretty awsome.

Well, I let some people upload their WIPs to my FTP - problem is, a lot of people don't know how to use FTP. Plus there's always the risk that someone will abuse it, then I have to shut it down for everyone.

I need some sort of HTML interface that'll let non-net savy people upload files, that'll play nice with my host.

but i think with my suggestion thing with his website the profile thing might help with that, being as you would have to apply for an account.

Okay my site is going up Right now just setting in a few things, a then ill put the monthly downloads on them.
People who want Access to the download section to upload files need to PM Me with a user name an a pw they desire. No Warez No Pornographic images, no hacks, NO VIRUSe's DEFENITLY

If you really want to make a web site. Make it from scratch. Don't make it like you pulled it out of someone's ass!
I have been doing web design since I was 16 years old and graphic design too.

But I would not waste my time to design much for clans or anyone unless it is a business. They all tend to fall down the ground and waste my damn time "DESIGNING" them. Yes Shuriken, I know how to "DESIGN".

go find the book called "Dummy for HTML" and start from there. That is how I learned when I was in school.

If you really want to code. the best program you can use for a newbie is frontpage 2000 or 2003. Don't try dreamweaver until you are comfortable with the HTML coding first.

if you use any program spend the time learn dream weaver at a minimum, at least that code is a billion times better looking than front page.

Hey! I learned on Front Page 98 back then before there was Dreamweaver, and Flash! Front page is just plan easy! But Dreamweaver is for like professional levels. Whoever wants to use Dreamweaver... GOOD LUCK!

Note: I have 1 terabyte (1,000 GB) bandwidth and I don't use it all (i don't even use 1/100 of it) so I'll be glad to host files. Its located in Texas and is pretty fast d/l speeds for both coasts.
