how to add sounds to map and other ???'s

Yeah uploading music like from my music folder, etc...

Also how do I add like bushes... or how to say it... theres a bar .. like ... "PICTURE THIS" theres a door, now on top of the door, there is a bush, or patch? of grass / mold? and it hangs down sort of... how do I do that? :O....

Yeah uploading music like from my music folder, etc...

Make a brush for players to walk through, use the aaatrigger texture. Make this brush a msarea_music entity. Take off smartedit, add a field with the key being the name of your mp3 file with .mp3 at the end (yoursong.mp3). For the value, put in the length of the song (4:20). If you want a gap between plays, tack on some extra seconds to the value.

Like a shrub.... but on the wall.... hanging infront of a door way... =\

For hanging plants, you need to find good textures that have... plants... Then you make a thin brush out of those and set them to a func_illusionary. Render mode should be texture and FX amount should be 255.

Umm... For those plans whose textures begin with "{" eg. "{hangingplant" and have blue in them to represent the transparent area, the rendermode should be SOLID and renderamt 255.

Yea, thats what i told him in game when we we're lookin at his map, and apparently that doesnt even work, though it works fine for me on my maps :?

Well, to be safe, if the smart edit is off, it should look like so:

(Ladder in that example, but same difference - same for func_illusionary as func_wall)

"solid" is what the FGD gives you. The acutal number you want rendermode to be is "4"

If it fails to work with one texture, try it with a few others. A few of the {textures have bunk palettes, so they don't work right.
