Yep, this has happened to me before. Also sometimes when i join a server, my health and mana bottles are depleted but it shows i have full health and mana.
'Fraid it's the new client.dll. Generally that happens when you change maps without actually spawning. On the next map, you'll get the all-gray vials.
You'll also get the all-gray vials if your HP would have been scrolling negative, I believe.
We *might* be able to go back to the negative 32000+ scrolling health bug, but I'm not sure. It maybe something else in the client.dll differing from the original, or the compile settings causing issues too. But the only thing I changed in regards to those vials directly, was a cap to stop negative scrolling, and a multiplier, so they fill/drop more quickly, if the difference between their current amount and the acual HP/MP is great.
Even if was can go back, I'm not sure if you'd want to - at least this way you can see your health.
Although when I get the bug, I tend to type show_health in console so I can get the visual representation too.
I would rather have this bug then the other. Its hard to read at times (when the UV for my hands come up as a sprite) but at least its the correct amount.
