Hail,

I've just thought about an Steam Armor that makes you jump higher and makes you lighter and faster (like double tap w)
I would like that idea because i think the most maps should have some higher parts (like WW3d Crystal).


I just would like to hear your opinion about that idea

The whole rat jumping, rat stacking, skeleton jumping, player stacking and the inexplicable ability to fall two kilometres and still survive has killed enough ideas for maps already.
Mappers can't make higher-up areas without having to seal them off (see: the_keep bossroom, lodagond-4 start) because people will just rat jump up and skip a part of the map. To be honest I'd love it if rat jumping etc. was removed completely so there could be more variety in maps. You'd actually have to do some effort to get to a ledge or a balcony higher up, rather than exploit-jump to it.

That's why this idea of higher jumping (or anything that allows great vertical movement or levitation in general) is a bad idea if you ask me.

well i would add a anti stuck like if u stuck with player/entity/monster what ever 3 secs then it will be pushed away like no-colide

from what I can guess you're suggesting an anti stuck, what does that have to do with jump related sploits?

well yes and my steam armor idea so that rat jump etc. doesn't work (anti-stuck) so the armors effect can be useful

ah I see what you mean now, although rat jumping wouldn't work, it wouldn't stop rat stacking or players from jumping off of each other, or from jumping off their wolves
