Just got back into MS....But now I get a strange error!

I just decided to start playing MS again a few days ago, so I downloaded Thothie's enchanced installer and enhancer 2.1. For a while I could just host my own LAN game and play just fine, and join other servers fine also.

Yesterday I tried hosting my own game and it just stopped after loading and said that Steam account in use error in the console. I can still play on other servers fine, and all other HL and Source games do not give me this error. Anyone have any idea why this happened? I didn't change anything!

(BTW I do not have steam running anywhere else)

Good news!

I just figured out my problem. I don't know how or why, but the steam .mdmps in /hl were the problem. I deleted them and now MS works fine.

Hope this fixes it for good.

Yeah, I've had that error since the last steam update too, if anyone could troubleshoot as to why this is happening, that would be great. I tried removing all the .mdmp files from my half-life folder, but I still get the same error.

Start up the server with "sv_lan 1", once ingame do "sv_lan 0"
