First I'll start off by providing info to prevent deletion.

1. Don't use banks!
2. If you connect and get a character that isn't yours, reconnect. If you join or delete it that will result in character loss.
3. If you get "couldn't put item in this item" errors (Ex. Couldn't put longsword in small apple), quit the game immediatly. And then reconnect, all your stuff should be there still.
4. If you don't see your character upon connecting, then rejoin again it's a bug on occasion.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU LOSE A CHARACTER:

1. Send a PM to the person in charge of the central server with your SteamID/time of deletion, and slot the character was in.
2. If you are going to play anyways I can not stress this enough. DO NOT, MAKE A NEW CHARACTER IN THE SAME SLOT! I've lost at least one or two on FuzNet because people did this overwriting the backup! (Which shouldn't be a problem later on down the road. BUT FOR NOW DON'T DO IT)

Just a question, but how often do you make backups? once a day/week/every 3 days?

At this point once a day using some very crude methods, I also upload it to another PC before I leave for work also. I'm currently working on a system so that you can restore backups automatically in-game.

Once that is done it will be every 3 hours, for a total period of 2 weeks.
