Click here to see 18 minutes gameplay footage of Project Origin, the sequel to F.E.A.R.

Be warned though; it's very gory/bloody/violent and if you turn the volume up, you might actually jump a few times.

But it looks awesome :oldshock:

Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to it, and hope it's harder than F.E.A.R, because it was very easy on the last difficulty mode, for me atleast.

Hey Belmont, I figured I'd post something else that's F.E.A.R. related for you:
If you click here you can find a trailer of F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, the upcoming second expansion to F.E.A.R.

Also some general background: due to company A having sold the F.E.A.R. license to company B, the sequel to F.E.A.R. can't have F.E.A.R. in the name - that's why it's going to be called Project Origin. The story is also affected somewhat; Project Origin must now show a clear relation to F.E.A.R. (I wonder how the developers are going to pull that off). It's all a very odd story, but it comes down to this:
Project Origin will treat the "F.E.A.R. story" as if the events in the two expansions (Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate) never happened. In other words, there will be two F.E.A.R. stories:

F.E.A.R. -> Extraction Point -> Perseus Mandate
or
F.E.A.R. -> Project Origin

I don't know if you've played the first expansion, and I don't know if you'll play the second one, and I don't know if you even care about this stuff ( :p ) but hey, I just finished my post anyway.

And for me, I'll play everything F.E.A.R. related.

My information.
That looked awesome... the game trailer. I wonder... is it accurate to believe the GeForce 8600 and up will be able to handle this game (once/if it becomes available for the PC)? I'm certain my Jabba (my bro) will be able to play it, with his 8800... but my own computer only has an 8600. I've already played FEAR - Extraction Point, so I know it handles that... :)

F.E.A.R worked at maximun settings with a 6600 GT, so go figure.

(Without AA and AF, at 1024x768)

My XFX 7800 GTX (256 MB DDR3 VRAM) and Pentium 4 HT-550 (3.4 GHz) can play F.E.A.R. at max settings, 1280*1024. This includes 16x AF and 4x AA, so I guess you're fine with your videocard, Netrogor.

But don't make me stab you >_>

You should consider upgrading to a 8600 GT or a 8800 GTS when the prices drop futher, I think the 8600 GT is now around 140 euros.

I don't recommend that. I'm not overly happy with my 8800 GTS, and I regret that I didn't pay the extra 2000 kroner (equivilant to around 280 euros) to get the GTX.

Heh, you're not easily scared then :p
With my mapping experience, I obviously know that whenever something jumps at me in F.E.A.R., it's scripted, yet I still freak out most of the time, but then I'm like "wow, that was a good scripted sequence".

in their engine they might have triggers, most stuff in fear is done by triggers, eg stuff blowing up, boxes magicly getting pushed, and those weird visons are too.

i just started playing F.E.A.R again and i must admit it scares the f*ck out of me, watching videos is not scarey beacause u can concentrate what going to happen more, but while ur playing ur too busy looking around u and not focusing and the areas where u'll see that girl >.>

like 1 time i was walking somewhere then just b4 i looked around the palce b4 i got on the ladder, i saw no areas of scaryness then i got on the ladder and poof evil girl right there when i got on the ladder, i sh*tted myself and also when i got down the ladder and turned around i shat myself again >.> cause that mind controlled guy was there ><

Were you speaking to J-M? I hope so... because I already have the brand-name 8600 (not some generic cheap one).... XFX GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB GDDR3 setup...

And J-M... I can't brag or boast about my video card... Jabba ruined it for me by getting an upper-grade 8800... with 6400+ Black Edition AMD Dual Core (which benchmarked higher than Intel's equivalent release of the time)... and his supremacy RAM (aka... really good, low CAS latencies with high clock frequency). :(
