Hey, I alredy lost my char when playing on hells dinner when chaging map Edana-Thornlands, char deletions usually happends between these maps.

My question is, is there a way to backup or fix the server side char deletions? I alredy made a new and better character and don't want to lose it again -.-;

yup my other character I once again worked all day to make just got deleted between edana to thornlands. Thankfully I backed up a save an hour or so before that but I lost everything I had done at orc caves/gate city 4 sword levels, 2 arrow levels, 2 small arms levels, about 500 gold, and a lot of hp. Did you people not playtest the game before release? Although this time its different from yesterday, today my save is still there, but I just cant access it. Do any of the devs have access to open .char files and see what the difference is between my new save and my backed up one? Maybe do surgery on the save that is messed up? One thing I noticed is my backed up .char save file is 1kb and my new one is 2kb. It might be because I have more stuff, but it could be that there is garbage in it.

As I've said before, we did not experience any of these critical bugs with the dev builds before the release. We are mystified as to how so many of them crept into the public build.

Is there any way that you (the devs) could open the char files and see what the difference is? I just tried to open both in notepad, the one that works is one line long, the one that doesnt is 3. So I assume there is garbage coding in it that needs to be deleted or something.

One thing I noticed once my character got deleted (after dropping stuff at the bank in a newly created bank account for the first time) was the character file, which was still in the save folder, just not being read apparently, had a file size approximately twice as big as the file size of the pre-banking backup that still was recognized.

Yeah thats what I said ^^ up above. I think it is because the save file that doesn't work has ''garbage'' coding in it that won't read properly therefore resulting in an error, although I wouldn't know for sure without looking at the decoded file. Thats why I am hoping their coder has a tool to break the encryption and read the files like normal to see the difference.
