Ok I have been lvling my axe mastery for some time and I was curious as to what lvl exactly do you get the leap attack? cause im 19 mastery and god knows a lot of other weapons I can use have hit the red bar already except axes.

I was also wondering if there was even a special attack for the Pskullsword cause im 21 on my sword mastery and still no special attack.

I've heard you get the double charge at 20 with the gold axe. I don't know for sure because I have always had the double charge. As for the pskull, I dont think any swords have the double charge.

It's divination 10 (I know, tis an odd bit there, but the attack is actually divine).

Seems everyone and his cousin has that damned thing now, quest was far easier than I thought it'd be. *sigh* What to do...

anyone could beat that quest because you can just die over and over and it doesnt affect it.
make it like when a boss kills you, maybe it takes away 2 zombies youve killed.

heh, well...the axe isn't gonna be rare because people are willing to do the quest, and help others with it...gotta find some way to make harder quests ;)

The dwarf says he gives you the key to the city, or something shaped like it.

Maybe that could be just the handle? The head of the axe could be a boss drop or something. Then when you have both, you take it to say... The blacksmith in Helena to make you it.

Just an idea.

Edit: And to make people with a Golden Axe do it, maybe make the new axe stronger or something?

that or thothie can turn the current golden axes into handles, or change the quest around and turn them into "h4x0r applez"

i like the idea of getting two pieces of it in different places, though.

Well it would be kind of unfair to just take the item away.

Although I agree turning it into a handle would be alright I guess.

well, taking the item away is just as unfair as letting people keep it, if the difficulty to obtain is changed up alot...of course, thats looking at it from the opposite perspective.

Well, I know J-M will bitch, as anything that makes the game harder... It's a good idea though, the handle thing. The only other alternative I can think of without removing the quest entirely would be to nerf it to hell.

You'll piss more people off nerfing it, than if you make it the handle thing :)

I R been noticing that the golden axe is sorta busted... Tis not doing the damage to certain bosses the way it should be, and then doing way too much to certain others (ie. Keledros).

Took me a bit, then I realized what it is: apparently, when you set a takedmg multiplier (say, in this instance, for Holy damage) it doesn't reset the multiplier - but instead multiplies the previous setting...

So I previously had it set up so all Demons and Undead took 3.0 Holy Damage based on their race in the race script, and then some took more , or less, by having their holy damage set in their individual scripts.

Keledros was particularly bad, as his holy damage is set again after he gets up the second time. (So it goes, x3.0 for Undead, x3.0 for being Keledros, and then x5.0 for being Re-animated Keledros for a total of *gasp* x45 holy damage!)

Meanwhile it's doing next to nothing to the Ice Lord, because her only multiplier is the undead multiplier (x3).

Skells take more because they had a x3 multiplier on the undead side, and x4 for being skelles (for a total of x12).

This at least explains why the multiplier didn't seem nearly right, and I had the axe itself down to 200 base dmg to make it feasible.

Soooo... I've had to go through every freaking demon and undead script and set their holy damages individually (no more race-based holy damage). I've bumped up the Golden Axe holy damage to match that of the Great Axe, it just does more damage due to the holy multiplier (as was originally intended). I also bumped up the divine magic multiplier, so the secondary attack is a bit meaner.

Result being: Golden Axe now seems to damage all the undead proper. Balanced it out so it still does 1000's to Skeles at level 30, and now does at least x2-x4 the damage of the Great Axe against all undead/demon bosses (Sir Geric, Ice Lord, Elementals etc). It isn't *quite* as effective against Keledros as it was, but it does do a lot of damage, and he is now responding to it proper, as he should.

Bad thing is that basically makes it even more overpowered than it already was, but at least it's working proper.

Those of you who got off easy getting this monster from the current quest will probably find you gotta do something extra to actually keep it however.

ooo

does that mean you fixed REBUKE too!!?

because it always does the same damage to everything, assuming that thing doesn't have armor.

Rebuke works on a different system (as it was made before I could pass damage types through DoDamage). It always does the same damage based on your divination level. I'd move it to holy damage as originally intended, but can't for the same reason I can't add more lower end spells. If it was really effective peeps would get into the 15+ SC even more quickly.

Oh really? How are you doing that lol?

Well I did wonder why I was hitting Ice Lord for like 80 damage. But... One thing, when fighting him once, I was doing around 300 damage a lunge attack (200 base, 100 holy). But it usually does like 80 in total, so I have no idea why it was once doing 300...?

Edit: Wrong HTML format.[/i]
