I thought this bug was taken care of when the limit for packs was set...

i got it, it's bugging me... I tried char_recover still would overflow...

help? imma get my steam id next time i play... GAWD DAMNIT!

FYI you can't grab a big sack, heavy backpack, small sack, quiver of the archer, weapon strap, shield, and every other equipable and then fill all your packs...


the item limiter downed the problem...but its still there...

Rolled you back to the Thursday evening backup.

Like Foamy says, we've only managed to make it harder to do, not to eliminate it entirely. I don't dare restrict the pack limits any further. I'd move the Big Sack and the Back Pack to the same wear slot, so you couldn't wear both, but I'm sure that'd make everyone lose one or the other on the next patch. It has been happening a lot less often, at least (maybe one every two weeks now, as opposed to 10).

You must have really been stuffing yourself though, your character was nearly 5k. :oldshock:

I'm hoping to have an over-all item limit that will prevent you from picking up/purchasing more items when you reach it. Said items would get sent to oblivion, in the same way they do when they are too heavy - but I figure that's better than sending your character to oblivion.

yeah, I could fill up on arrows but when i collected too many pots... or maybe it was because i was the 60 stacks of arrows i was getting was filling up my weight limit before my item limit...

well yeah, i was stuffing bc ms_snow crashed again... we were at the ice bones too...
a greater protect potion and cold immunity gone to waste so i was gonna fill up on strong health, and mana pots for some funds to replace my uber potion supply....

i still think arrows should come in very large stacks so people can have plenty :|


(60 is good, but theres so many places where you get just 30)

The weight issue comes into play if the stacks are too big. There used to be lots of stacks of 15 - I already moved all those to 30. Suppose I could go over it again...

i think 60 is a good number...but it wouldn't be so much of a problem if the bows did more damage so we didn't need 30 arrows to kill one critter :roll:

meh, yeah if the damage per arrow was increased, along with an increase in weight to balance, as well as bigger stacks... archery wouldn't be too bad...

i suppose i had some crazy idea to raise archery damage, squirrels was confusing, and he'll bring it up shortly i'm sure...

here goes mi-Une!

It would be very sick with it if headshots did more damage than lets say, a shot to the left toe or pinky finger.... balance in archey is useless just as proficiency is for the other weapons... HOW ABOUT the damage for archery is very erratic, but with higher balance, the damage stabilizes and lands the max amount of damage more often...

or you could simply up the damage of arrows, up the weight of arrows, and increase the stacks it'll be awersome!

you cant make headshots do more damage in MSC mario, SFAIK monsters dont have many hitboxes, if they did it'd lag up.

as for just increasing damage, that doesnt help the fact that the tree bow does the same damage as the elven longbow...

and that balance idea just seems to weaken bows...thats not what we're trying to do...

yeah, guess i'm not very clear... headshot stuff isn't part of my idea, twas just a joke (lawl)... i don't mean to weaken archery... but i'm trying to come up with a more interesting idea other than just tacking on higher damage. And you're right that different bows should add more/less damage... if that's true maybe the distance could affect the damage :oldshock:

realistically the closer you are the more damage I suppose you can do... but for wonderful MS:C standards and to discourage sitting above a monster and shooting them on the top of the head damage could be increased at longer range.... (i think this is MiB's idea, cept his was more about exp or something)



like:
if you shoot a monster from at least 5 feet away you get certain damage bonus (treebow status)

and other distance incriments increase damage, probably accessable by better bows! :D

now the only thing that i can currently find wrong with this (other than my lack of foresight as to which this is codeable)
is that well... Elven arrows would be of some use! Maybe more than iron arrows... but I suppose the balance would be that in more tighter spaces... more damaging arrows as opposed to lighter arrows would be more effective.

ANODER TING! Jagged arrows are described to hurt the enemies from the jags when they move... where is this moving jag damage eh?



fire arrows are fire element and frost are ice element, yah? so they would do more damage on the monsters weak to it correct? yes? no?
