Well We joined Calruin2 and tryed to join/load character it didnt worked for the first try , i reconnected and lost all items then like Kanta and Oyster. Happend at 03:30am UTC+01:00 2 days ago

So Rollback after 03:30am UTC+01:00 would be fine for me

*sigh* I suppose it's time to come clean on this, as I was hoping there was a solution...

It seems, likely, that the "security hole" I've been on about finally got used, and as a result, FN hasn't been doing any backups since October 30th. I'm waiting to hear more from RKS, but this may include the remote archives he was keeping on the side.

I've been making manual backups once a day since this was discovered, but at the moment, I can only guarantee you a rollback to the 30th... and, I can't do that, at the moment, as RKS has suspended remote access until he gets a handle on this.

I suspect, eventually, a reset of the servers and some FN downtime will result, in addition to some internal security changes, and possibly even a migration.

Rolled ya all back to October 30th for now. Maybe RKS will yet pull a rabbit out of his hat, but it doesn't seem likely at this point. There were three separate services handling this, and all went kaput. I guess triple redundancy backup does ya no good when the system's compromised...

The system is operating normally for now, but I think RKS will be doing a thorough cleaning tonight, among possibly other things as described above, leading to some downtime.

Thanks for the Rollback but i lost alot things now since its the backup at 30th October xD from 880 hp to 729 , lost bear claws , Demon bludgeon , Felwyn shard , Thornbow , Fire Tork Bow , that hurts for me xD

Sorry... I was surprised to learn just how many different services we were using to archive this stuff, and even more surprised to see them all sabotaged and fail all at the same time. First time we've had an FN backup fail in years.

RKS is taking measures to ensure it won't happen again. Chicago servers maybe going down permanently though.

My apologies. If it is any consolation, your "sacrifice" has helped uncover this issue before it went any longer. It would have been even worse otherwise. I hope you all didn't lose too much progress.

The server involved is being shut down and wiped completely to ensure there is nothing else on there that I don't know about. We're also taking advantage of this situation to move to a different server that costs less and has better performance.

If it's any consolation, I've got spare bear claws, a thornbow and a Torkalath fire bow for you. The rest I can help you farm. Please take this into consideration because I can imagine that losing 2/3rd of a month of progress might just want to make you quit (please don't).
