Well, mayhaps, but you don't SEE posts from the people who read the stickies, so you can only focus on the negative, you goth you.

Bandaid keeps dirt out of the wound preventing agrivation of the infection, if not curing the infection itself; asprin helps the headache a little, if not curing it. One who does nothing at all, has no right to complain of the pain.
Stickies help, even if only 10% of the users read em, tis at least 10% less "read the damn sticky" posts ya gotta make.

In other words.
You have a gun with one shot in it. You either shoot that shot, or dont because you might not kill the enemy, you might only injure him.
Stickys dont kill the amount of stupid posters. But fire that shot (make a sticky) and you can injure that amount.
