...But not really, though I did almost get the cops called on me.

I was driving home with Squirrel today, and the roads are pretty icey. NORMALLY, my car has friggin' AMAZING brakes. I'm talking 50->0 in about 7 FEET. The light turns red about 50 feet ahead of me, so I hit the breaks. ABS...ABS....ABS...ABS... I'll not go further, but I'm now about to go through the red-lit intersection at about 20-30mph.

My first instict is to, of course, try to go right so that I don't go all the way through the intersection. I turned, skidded, and high-centered on the median. My car was facing perfectly down the hill that I tried to turn on with both wheels of the ground. Needless to say, I'm not happy. I'm trying to figure out what to do, when a car pulls up next to me. I figure "Ok, at least this guy is being nice and helping me out."

I turn off the car, turn it back on, and it seems fine, so Squirrel rolls down the window. The guy is on his phone with the cops (or starting to call, anyway). I tell the guy that I think we'll be fine, we don't need the cops...

...He tells me he's calling the cops because I ran a red light. What a f*cker. Long story short, he drove off without calling, I get a friend and a random guy to pull me off, and now I have to replace my wheels (apparently needed to be done - they were bare.) and get my wheels re-alligned.

Oh, and apparently the guy was one of Squirrel's old teachers (middle school), so I feel the need to track him down.

ABS. Besides, we did a test afterwards and found that pumping didn't help with my stop time.

This suggestion in particular reminded me of a part from The Great Gatsby, where some fool is too drunk to realize that a car that's missing a tire can not successfully be driven.

Also, I guess this is what you get for driving with a squirrel :p

My information.
^^
Nice, J-M.
As to the person who wanted to call the police... over a stoplight... when nobody got hurt, and the roads being icy... yes, track him down. That is downright asinine, since you aren't obligated to call the cops, anyways, if you are merely witnessing something. In-fact, you don't even have to come forth as a witness, unless subpoenaed. But, anyways, track that "teacher" or whoever he was down... and egg his car. As punishment for being a prick. Better to piss'em off than to scare him or hurt him.

J-M - it obviously IS Squirrel's fault, since if he weren't around, I would have gone home HOURS before that, and on a different road, too. Good work, Squirrel.

I should get a few gallons of water to pour over his doors/locks/whole car ;-)

Water + below freezing temperature + locks, doors, car... = ...wait, I'm lost.

Oh! Man In Black, if you pour water over Squirrels car, can you make a movie of it? I can't wait to see water freeze while it's being poured/in motion.

Edit: The internet says: water that's in motion will not freeze unless (probably) it's like really freaking cold, like, colder than it's on Neptune. Also, I don't think that a whole lot of water would actually... 'stay put' in a keyhole. Sure, a part of it, but not all of it, and even the certain amount of water that would stay in, would probably hardly be annoying.

Oh man water hurts, don't do that.

What does this sound like to you?

To me, it sounds like a comment of sarcasm, which also doesn't understands the situation of the previous statement:

Man In Black said:

Without knowing that the temperature of where he lives is below freezing, such an reaction would of been appropriate. But this sounds like a joke to the relative topic, which is:

Roads were icy (Must be because the temperature is below the freezing point) = Ran red light = Ass-clown calls the police for unreasonable reasons.

An appropriate reaction would of been:

Oh, and:

THIS was also a joke, and it was to let you understand why he would pull such a "prank" because your comment was unclear. my orignal reaction was:

villager said:
"...How could you understand why MiB would make a joke about pouring water on squirrels doors, locks, car. The topic hints why."

But I wanted to be nice and make it a non-offensive joke.

Ah, but you can put snow on someone's car, have them start the car while the snow is still in the windows/sunroof are still closed, and then they'll have a pain in the ass time with opening them! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

...Or something. (happened to me the beginning of the week)

I got the joke gallons-of-water thing in the first place because I actually did remember how the roads are 'pretty icy' (meaning the air is probably pretty cold as well) but I seriously doubt that pouring water in a lock would really be such a nuisance at all.

And your analogy is 'teh lolz'.

Edit: Unless you are made of sugar, you use brute force and gently pull your car door open :p

Wow. Way to look way to far into a stupid joke >_>

I was talking about the teacher, btw, not Squirrel. Squirrel doesn't have a car.

Well, you could use salt water, and have a better chance of turning his car into a rustbucket ;)
