Mm, I loves me some Stalker. Beat second, wasted tons of time on the third but never beat it fully. Never really played much of the first though, played Clear Sky first and couldn't push myself to downgrade to Shadow of Chernobyl.

I bought Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Resident Evil 5, The FEAR series pack, and Call of Cthulhu. Good Sale!

Hell, half of these games listed seem to be single player. I wouldn't waste money on a SP game for computer. There are torrents nowadays for everything, at least i save some money by doing this and when i trully enjoy a game i try to buy it (after trying it with a pirated version of course >_>).
I still need to buy me some games i guess, these would be mostly multiplayer based games though, games like Burnout Paradise city, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (game kicks ass and never gets old) and killing floor. Maybe even COD MW2 (enjoyed this one, hell of a game) or borderlands, though i never bothered trying this game out so im not sure if its worth it or not.
Also ME1 & 2 = great games, waiting for the 3rd title release right now.
I also have S.T.A.L.K.E.R., call of prypiat. It's the only S.T.A.L.K.E.R. i played so far, its enjoyable, can be replayed for fun for a few times... then it might get old. Game is freaking buggy though, and the dialogue sucks on this game on some cases.

Why can't singleplayer games be worth the same price as a multiplayer game? Not that I've compiled a list of my favorite games ever, but I can't think of any multiplayer ones that would make the list :?

Been checking the sales, got 15 games to my wishlist, some of these aren't games i will buy but that i will possibly download.

-Pain Killer Black edition = 4,99⬠and Pain Killer overdose = 2,49⬠(even though i had black edition original once, but my brother took it to switzerland i think...);
The one's marked with a X are the ones i'm probably going to buy this year, which make a total of 44,22⬠out of 50â¬. Leftover = 5,78⬠(possibly for nation red but i'm not sure yet).
My wallet contains 65â¬, i feel like spending only 50â¬, if anyone wants to share ideas about good MP/co-op games at decent prices, go ahead.
PS: I hate it when i have many games listed and i can only buy a few >_<
So... by your logic all game companies who generally produce singleplayer only games will now go out of business, or convert into only making multiplayer games

MP can be fun occasionally, but playing only with other people? I shudder at the thought.

At least thats my thoughts, when i see a game with multiplayer or co-op, i always think on buying it after trying out the SP gameplay; if its single player only, i automatically say "No, waste of money!", unless these games are for unique platforms like Playstation 3, games like God of war...
Also, i'm pretty sure it's just a mather of time untill games like Fallout turn into co-op gameplay style. I've read a magazine like a year ago, that they discussed about future game titles, specifically Fallout, they mentioned something about there being a chance of adding a co-op system to these games in the future, now to know if this is true or not, i really don't know.
Generally, Zeus, when you have a job and money of your own, torrenting isn't as necessary. Still a valid option to try a game imo, but only if you're questionable as to its worth. I usually research any game I plan on buying though, so that's usually not a problem. I torrent old games often though.
Borderlands was a great game but given that its playable single player or multi and the mp doesn't really change anything except how good of loot you can get and difficulty, its not worth the MP buy. Loved the shit outta that game though
Your argument for not buying singleplayer games is you can download them via torrents instead? You can do the exact same with multiplayer games. Most of them even with online play. :roll:

I don't think he's arguing his position is moral - he's just saying he pirates them because he can.
Personally, I don't pirate anything with a demo, or under $20. If it's over $20, and has no demo, I'll pirate it just to see if it's worth the sticker price, and buy it if it is (and delete if not). *Occasionally* I'll pirate something I already legally own, because it isn't working right, or the copy protection is hampering play, or because I had to get some newer version to work with hardware changes. (ie. the fuggers didn't patch, but the pirates did.)
Once in awhile I'll pirate a game if I've no intention of playing it more than once or twice - ie. some RL friends demand I play some game with them that I've really no interest in.
Also, anything older than 10 years, or so, is fair game so far as I'm concerned. Everything on MAME, MESS, N64, Atari, etc. I've no mercy for assholes claiming copyright on ROMS where none of the original creators are making a cent anymore. The "we might re-release it in a nostalgia pack!" doesn't wash either - as none of the original crew will see a cent of that money - that's just exploitation.
Single player games I can very rarely stand though. Almost always need a human opponent to make a game worth while. The best a single player game can hope for is to tell a story, interactive movie like, and most of those don't do a very good job of it. There's a few exceptions though.

But I never watch a movie more than once in a decade either (unless social situations demand it). Some people see every movie they like five or six times or more - so maybe that's just me.
