Suggestion: level calculation

Recently, there was a thread discussing the fact that the level does not tell anything about a charakter's power.
Calculating the level by HP and MP would be kinda strange, but why not calculate the level by the main stats? I mean, HP and MP are derived from them, so why not derive the level from them? Like sum all up and divide by their number, or similar.

Cuz specialists hit harder, while generalists have more Mana/HP.

I'm not saying the system isn't broken mind you, just can't think of a way to take that into account. I'm hoping to change the title system entirely, and that may help some.

Because that doesn't take into account the monsters abilities. It really is fine like it is, where Thothie just decides what they should give. After all, if they did it your way, Reavers and Horrors wouldn't give much at all because their main bastardness comes from stunning or blinding the player, not the stats.

I dunna think that is what Reboot is speaking of - rather he's saying that you cannot determine a PLAYER's power by his level, since it doesn't releate to his HP or mana.

BTW - any progress on any of the Title related MSC++ tasks?

I think I'll be working it so you can keep your current title, or automagically obtain any of the current titles the old fashion way, but you'll be able to get new titles that actually DO things, via trial of combat and a fee and/or submitting special items, if you meet the title requisites and complete the quests.

Just need a way to set titles, save titles, and have the scripts be able to read/write titles.
