"The Oath" and issues.

Recently i was informed that im the biggest dumb ass who plays msc, because i chose to join "The Oath" apparently im a huge dumbass for joining it (i have no idea why but i guess it has to do with how much harder it is to play as a singular class type?) well here's the thing id like to know why im so stupid because id like to experience msc in another way? a patch hasnt been released in i dont know how long? plus if the problem is because "the games too hard then" isnt there a large group of people bitching that the game is too easy?! so honestly id like to know why such a dumbass? iv joined a group of people who would like to experience msc in a different fashion of gameplay... whats wrong with that? im sorry i think JOAT ruins the game and im sorry i think playing as a class is MORE fun. so if anyone * cough* Rincewind * cough* can tell me why i am so stupid for the choice i made id be much appreciated

Also, Rincewind is Hemeriodius' second character, and if he tells you that you are stupid, then you should retaliate with "At least I didn't fall for a page-one-of-the-book Steam account scam." next time (he got his first Steam account stolen lololololololololol).

Hemeriodius talk to me just fine on that character... wow The Oath is just a group of players who are specializing characters so they can play the mod a little differently kinda like a guild in the sense we all help each other.

I've never heard of this oath either but pay no attention to what other people have to say. It's your choice how you want to experience the game so have fun. This group does sound interesting though and I'd probably play it except I've been playing RuneScape and mapping for that last few weeks. So right now I'd say I'm only really running MSC when I need to test maps.

Yeah the idea of the guild isn't bad (if MS:C supported specialization it would be a great idea infact) but Zun is just a total moron. I haven't seen anybody this dumb in-game since Izikar, I think.

I don't remember making that comment but it definitely sounds like something id do. If i did call you a dumbass for joining the Oath it would have because Zun runs it not because you chose to specialize.

Also Rincewind is a Wizard so im not sure how you got the idea that i dislike Specializing.

If you have an issue with zun just spawn a wolf in him, tell it to stay and sit down on his head while muting him, see how long he talks to himself. (We got him stuck in 2 wolves for 20+ minutes until he finally suicided, then restucked him after he started yelling/bragging in our face and he left)

I think I'm going to have to make a rule that you automatically lose the right to complain about the game being either hard or boring if you join "The Oath" though... You've made your own grave with that approach to the game. Really don't get the point in that. :|

I mean, I understand restricting yourself to a single weapon to challenge yourself, but not on your main character, and not because you prefer specialization to JOAT. No game "specializes" the way MSC does, because there's just no point to it - it's not really specialization so much as self-nerfage. With the exception of archery and magic specializations, your "class" has no impact on how you play the game, except to make you weaker. It doesn't give you a specific ability, advantage, or function - it just makes you useless, and removes potentially fun aspects of game play.

I should point out that if/when the Title system comes in, any current title you got as a process of your "specialization" will go bye-bye - you'll revert to "Adventurer" until you purchase a Title you qualify for. Further, Titles will have minimum requirements - and you may not be able to meet them, restricting yourself to a single weapon line, depending on which you are after.

actually at first its hard/boring, but since i have all of the lower lvl spells iv been able to level up at a semi normal rate... im currently moving on to harder spells which take more to learn. i also dont have that hard of time soloing quite a few maps. i pretty much completely cleared out chapel by myself a couple of times. i also did gertenhold forest with orion and didnt do too bad.
