This thread is intended to get as many people as possible to brainstorm ideas for new potions. Please be as creative as you are able. If you like another persons idea, say so. Don't be afraid to add or expand on anothers ideas, either.

If this thread takes off I will eventually make a list of every potion that receives a good response from the community and put it in the first post with a brief description and a link to the post where said potion was suggested.

I will start us off! I would like to see a kind of 'phantom potion' that allowed you to become a ghost when you died. By becoming a specter you would suddenly be able to see ghost NPCs that only ghost characters could see. These ghosts could tell creative stories about Daragoth and act as starting points for quests. There could also be rare monsters that could only be seen and killed in a specter state. It might also be appropriate to remove exp gain and loss entirely when one is a ghost, and maybe even restrict weapons and armor to what the person was using when they died. Of course, the player should be either invisible while in this state, or see through kind of like the ether gloams. To escape the ghost world one must find a potion of life.

Another potential potion is some Berzerkers Ale. Damage with axes would increase while you are drunk. Perhaps this potion wouldn't make you drunk for long but so long as you kept drinking ale the benefits would remain. This would give the useless beers and wines in this game a point.

Seeing the part where you mentioned Berserker's Ale, I thought "Hey, maybe we could have potions for everything except swords because swords are OP as it is and stuff like that."
Subject not up for debate.

So I thought up names. (The function of each is in the last sentence for TLDRFags.)
Keensight Brew - As you sip this brew from it's seemingly searing hot cup, it is actually a rather cool, refreshing mix, a sort of taste you can't quite describe. When it takes effect on you, your eyes clear up entirely, allowing you to see just about anything. Grants increased hitroll for Archery guaranteeing each arrow entering the enemies flesh to actually damage them, and also adds maybe +25-100 (Anywhere in between or less/more, and maybe not viable with the HXBow) onto each shot regardless of the enemies natural resistances. (Because sometimes it's really annoying to do 20 damage/arrow just because something is made of godrocks and enchanted with ub3rh4cks rank 87.)
Hehe, godrocks spellchecks to Goldilocks.

Brawler's Draft - Guzzling down this potion results in extreme physical pain. (May or may not lower your health. Your choice.) This pain causes the consumer to become enraged, resulting in a stronger level of aggression. The pain is caused by the potion enhancing your muscles to a degree that you are able to cause a far greater amount of physical pain than you were able to before. (No, you can't use weapons, faggot) Increases hitroll for attacks with Martial Arts weapons, as well as adding 25-75 extra damage per attack.

Crusher's Compound - Wolfing down this potion will result in an excessive urge to pick up the nearest blunt object and club your wife. Increases hitroll with Blunt Arms as well as 25-100 extra damage per swing (Again, whatever you want.)

I'll think of more later maybe.
Also for a side note, if that ghost idea ever went in, it would be nice to be able to reconnect to the server to come out of Ghost form, rather than searching your life away (hur.) looking for a potion of life.

Wow, some of the potions are absolutely AMASING. They seem like they would be very useful!

Wow, Pretty Nice Description right there! I would love to see some of these potions in the game, although getting the potions would be a different matter.

I've got an idea for one:
Strongman's Lament: Lose some of your strength/HP and when you pick up an Axe from the Great Axe series (ex Blood axe, Great Axe, Greater Thunder Axe) and gives you more accuracy when you swing. Im thinking that you either do 10-25 less damage per hit or you lose 50-100 hp during the potion's effect.

Assassin Shot: While wielding a small arm you gain "+??%" to attack speed, in return for decreased Defence and damage done.

Green Tea: whilst using MA you gain "+??%" more damage and "+??%" attack speed, in return for a large mana drain and Stamina decrease

Flask of Fragmentation - normal left-click drinks it and causes you to explode violently, damaging everyone around you for damage based on your magic skill. First charge throws it, dealing slightly less damage (which also scales with magic skill).

Potion of the Unbreakable Spirit
-Lasts 5 minutes
-As you are weakened during battle your accuracy decreases but damage increases.
-For maximum damage you'll want to have less than 10% health.
-Requires teamwork to effectively use this potion.

spirits of a tank

Pros - protective barrier of 100% for a minute
- Great for tanking mobs or bosses

Cons - slows down attacks and stamina
- teamwork is needed.

Etheral Elixir

Pros - Invisible to all for 100 seconds.
- Great for healing or running through mobs for whatever reason.

cons - there is a con to being invis? wtf?

divination tonic

Will only increase Rebuke undead spell.
you choose how much itl enhance and how long.
(good choice for those who aren't wealthy enough for UGA just yet and need to train div.)

How quickly you lose player kills depends on how many you have. More kills == More time for one to go away.

swords are increased. little drunken. full stam. that "You are a pirate" plays to motivate. or the "pirates of carribian theme song"
steal gold before killing any enemy.

explodes self and surroundings with 2000 dmg? is that too much? yea.
plays the saying "alaah akbah!" before the 5 second countdown


im getting a lil outa hand with these hahaha

Potion of Greater Damage

Each hit you do does an additional 25-50 more damage.

Potion of Barrier Immune

Makes you immune to magic barrier holding (ex. ihotohr red beam barrier, cold one, hollowed one, etc.)

Since the stability pot was renamed to leadfoot potion, what do you guys think of renaming the speed pot to 'featherfoot potion' ?

Leadfoot Potion already allows that, in most cases.

Granted, in the case of a damaging barrier, you're likely better off being repelled.

Not the repel or anything like that, cause leadfoot still does not let you move away from the barrier at all. I meant if you just didnt have a barrier get put around you after drinking the pot, not it still appearing around you and stopping you.

/me thumps head - somehow I took that post out of context and thought he meant magic barriers, ie. ones that protect monsters and repell you, rather than the restrictive energy cage of the hold person spell. Yeah, leadfoot pot does nothing for the latter.

How about being able to move slowly through the magic cage just like a freezing effect while under the effects of a leadfoot potion?
