Has anyone thought about transformations being a possibility in MS?

It would be cool to be able to transform into a rat and then later skeleton and so on.

This is how it would work:
It would be like a summon except for you are the summon and there can only be one. You use transform spell and it uses up a considerable amount of your mana (so that you can not contiuosly transform back when the transformation ends). You can not use magic in transformed state. You can use the spell again to transform back into a human. However your HP could be tied to the monster you transform into. For ex. You could have 20 hp as a rat then when it goes away you transform back into a human or you could keep your normal hp level and when your hp reaches 25% you transform back, but greatly injured. Some benefits would be like poison resist like skele's have or speed like a snake. I don't really think my idea is solid just an idea maybe someone else could iron out I just think it'd be cool to transform.

I don't think it would be worth transforming into a rat with 20hp because with most monsters, you will be dead in a few hits. Transforming yourself into a skeleton doesn't make much sense either.

P.S:Here is a tip if you want to "transform" into a skeleton in real life, don't drink or eat anymore. If you want to "transform" faster, it's called a knife. (Note: This is only a joke, please don't actually "transform" yourself into a skeleton. kkthxbaibai

By this I mean instead of saying how bad my ideas are , provide some constructive criticism.

I think the idea has some merit to it, but it seems like it would mostly be useful in missions/quests requiring some form of stealth, rather than killing every enemy.

If you 'transformed' yourself into any type of monster, those monsters of the same type would likely have to trust you and you could sneak around, taking gold and stuff, etc...

Unfortunately, none of the maps currently support that system, as you have to rape and pillage everything to get to any form of chest in this game.

A while ago, I was actually thinking it would be an interesting idea to incorporate the player being transformed into a rat for a quest, but the purpose was to be more of an inconvenience and challenge than any actual player's willing strategy.

"I am a rat with 20 HP :D"
"............ didn't you have like... 100+ before?"
":("
*group kills rat man again and again*

Yea thats what I was thinking too like if you transform into that monster you could sneak past the monsters of the same type. Oh well it was just a thought...

That sounds fun, I recall the days of ChickenMod...Goooood fun ;).

Mebe you can have a map that requires you turn into something, say an eagle, or some other mythological creature, in order to do something like fly to the peak of a mountain, fighting various flying mobs along the way...And I was typing this, I thought it would be awesome if you turned into a drake, and with some help fought a dragon for its phat lewt.

If you could dynamically change the race of the player to wildanimal or demon, undead etc this might be a cool idea.

All lovely ideas, sadly I've no way to manipulate the player model so far... Then again, I could make the player model invisible and plop down the monster model on top of it (I think) but it'd be tricky to manipulate the anims and sync them up.

It also has the same problem that the summons have, namely each one requires a new player slot. Been meaning to play with that though, I r having pregnant thought as to how to get around.
