I fixed it!

Basically this was the issue:

In case that image isn't clear enough: there's a tiny (unreachable) crawlspace between the func_wall entities that compose the detailed ground (shown as the red squiggly line) and the worldbrushes below it that seal the map (shown as black lines). I textured the worldbrushes below the func_wall entities in NULL so that they don't get rendered. They don't have to get rendered because you can't see them anyway.

Texturing them in an actual texture (waste of patches because they aren't visible, but oh well) solved the problem.

Two updated and three new screenshots in the first post!

Superb stone wall texture J-M.

I've seen this map listed on the MSC worldmap but I don't see a Wiki article, so I'm not sure what the general idea of this map is either.

Wow, I gotta agree that stone wall texture looks good. :eek: Great work so far. That fourth screenshot reminds me of a level in Dark Messiah : Might and Magic.

What this map is about is (as of now) top secret :wink:
This map will be tied with several other custom maps by means of a huge quest, so I can't say much about it.

I might add some background later, though.

I'll bug you about that today. I need three small texture edits and they're all very simple (for an experienced Photoshopper like you probably) so I don't think it'll take you very long :)

as im concerning you about evry tiny little problem i have im offering my help too (generally).
even though i get the feeling photoshop is becomin better while corels photopaints developement kionda stagnates ive been using it for all kinds of stuff for 9 years now.

I like Corel as well, I use it for all my vinyl printing.

Edit: J (author of ara) already helped me out here.

I am looking for somebody who knows how Wally works, or rather, somebody who is very experienced with Wally.
Basically I need a dark variant of a white marble partially transparent railing texture for use in an Urdulian temple. Sabre already made a copy of this white marble partially transparent railing texture, but he can't get the transparency to work.
