Does anyone know any 16-bit windows emulator?
Dosbox is excellent as long as you are playing dos games however it is useless to play 16 bit windows games which is where my problem is.

I need to run 16-bit games developed for windows, however my windows is 64 bit and I cannot run it, I have tried to setup a virtual pc however that did not work either as it basically required me to buy an older version of windows.

Does there exist a Windows version of dosbox somewhere?

I believe you can combine a VMWare machine with DOS5/Win3.11 or Dos6/Win95 and be good to go. Not free though.

Ye can try making a Win98 partition, and it'll be about 50/50 as to whether your system will allow it. Win98 install disks are fairly easy to come by. Drivers are a bit trickier, but generally even the newer Nvidia cards will take ancient Forceware drivers under Win98.

You can also try right clicking on the ancient executable, and set it up for Win98 compatibility mode - gives it about a 10%-30% chance, depending on your OS. The MS Compatiblity Tools SDK also has a few tricks up its sleeve that might help.

DOSBox? Might help, I dunno.

That does help, but not with windows 16-bit executable.
I tried searching for WINbox but no luck.
