There are people (Belmont for example) who can't make MS: C servers because all clients lag their ass off. However, Belmont's MS v1.35 server never lagged, so this is the game's fault, and not the admin's fault.

Next to that, we have this thing called distance. If clients from Australia connect to my server (hosted in Holland) they'll have shit ping. You know why? They're on the other side of the freaking planet!

Also, it seems dedicated servers are suddenly suffering from a HUGE memory leak. I've seen my server use over 1 GB of RAM just to crash a few minutes later. I never had this problem in MS v1.35, so I'll have to blame the game here. One gigabyte of RAM! What the ****?

Next to the humble three default dedicated server ports (27015 TCP, 27015 UDP, 27020 UDP), no ports have to be opened for MS: C. The days of 2200, 2400 and 47624 are over.

So please, cut the ranting.

Offtopic: How come I see two servers running MS: C v1.01?
