I would like to see magical or elemental armors, such as the Phoenix Armor, weak against their opposing element. I say this for two reasons. One, it would add a bit more depth to the gameplay. Players would actually have to change equipment based on the scenarios they find themselves in. Plus, I once read a post, likely by Thothie, stating that mappers have a tendency to 'rainbow' elemental monsters in their maps by throwing many at you at once. Perhaps adding elemental weaknesses would mitigate this a bit?
Secondly, with the addition of many new armors (which I absolutely support) PVP has become a bit more broken than it was before. Sogak has complained that his favorite element of MSC (PVP + magic) is no longer a viable option for him and has stopped playing since the patch. His point was that anyone with multiple sets of armor could switch armors at roughly the same rate as he was able to switch spells. this problem would all but be eliminated if our armors had weaknesses. And of course, anything that will make PVP more enjoyable is something I support wholeheartedly.
As for how much to nerf them, I am not sure. I as thinking 20-40% weakness, tops.
