Had intended to rip the Oposing Force final boss monster and stick him in there as a sea monster, but never got to it. (Also hella complicated.)

Yes, because having a mean green tenticled monster rise out of the ocean to sink a ship is just unheard of. ;)

Needless to say, I woulda tweaked up the model some to cut down on the recognition factor, but the creation of such a script is horribly complicated in and of itself... Then there's integrating it into the horribly complicated map that is Ocean Crossing... I think it was something Rickler was hoping for, but the map has so many issues as it is, and I'm not sure if our current source addresses even half of the total the map has had over the years, so adding the beast would mean not only desperately trying to translate the already complicated entity interaction, but perhaps re-fixing all those issues it has had in the past all over again, in addition to the inevitable slew of new ones that would result.

Still... It'd be kewl. ^_^

Cthulhu is Lovecraftian, and the Kraken is from Norse mythology. It's brown, anyway. :p

I was thinking that it could be an Isles of Dread boss. Maybe if you extended the final area of islesofdread1 (after the huge putrefactus zombie) that little ocean there could be a pool for some sort of sea monster.

Personally I think we should just make a new map. Perhaps a new place to set sail to were you get caught in a giant vortex in the ocean and either something similar to the Kraken or Cthulhu would pop up.

That reminds me, I need to find the "call of Cthulhu" book for my language arts class...

I agree with the new map idea. Perhaps let us buy our OWN boats that would allow us to set sail to much higher level places than captain Ron is willing to ferry us?

C'mon guys. Wouldn't it be awesome to own your own boat? Of course it would. It's a frickin' boat.

You aren't the first to have the sea monster idea, as Thothie pointed out. The idea was also floating around in my head for some time and I am sure others had thought of it as well. I don't see why you would need credit for an idea though (especially when said 'idea' has been implemented in various books, movies, video games and TV shows literally since the era of Homer). Ideas mean next to nothing until they are implemented. It just seems a little egotistical to demand credit for thinking of something, especially if you play next to no part in it's implementation. Learn mapping, modeling, or scripting, then we'll give you credit.
