Either remove it completely or fix it in a way that makes the game playable without having to to into the console every time i join a server and set ms_bloom_level to 0

Set bloom to 0 in advanced settings under options. Shouldn't have to set it every map change...

Besides, with the amount of bunny hopping we do, pressing B once when you join a server isn't very difficult...

 ms_bloom_level cvar not sticking

Thank you for your participation.

Additionally, MiB has added a "Darken Bloom" counter-filter of sorts which can be set on a map by map, or even area-by-area basis, to deal with the "snow-blind" effect you get on really bright maps, like ms_snow or oceancrossing. (This can also be locked at a fixed setting via client cvar.)

Meantime, bind it to a key. (eg. bind x "ms_bloom_level 0") - then tap key when you spawn - it ain't that hard.

For some reason this slipped my mind, but there's also a built-in bind to toggle bloom, provided you downloaded the full installer:
bind x toggle_bloom

Or look under Options->Keyboard and set "Toggle Bloom On/Off" under the "Included Alias Scripts" section.
