Vote on what of these two concepts you like better! (The Injector is far right of the picture!)

Not so sure about that injector you got going there. But I do agree on a new blunt for poison.

Cobra would be better to theme, lest some sort of dwarven-steam-tech poisoning contraption - but injector no doubt much easier. We don't have bump mapping, so it'd be hard to get the scales to go shiney to make metal cobra heads, so texturing would be tricky too.

Do whichever you actually think you'll get done, I say. ;)

Injector in my opinion, even though i prefer the looks of the cobra concept more than the injector's, i also agree with the cobra having more to do with ms:c unlike the injector. :wink:

It's a hard choice for me, need to think and wait for more votes, then i should vote myself.

Personally, I like the injector concept. Since the Kharaztorant cult are into all sorts of crazy experiments it may fit the MSC theme if it relates to them. Perhaps it could be a failed experiment that was converted into a weapon?

Neither of those concepts look like they are prone to doing large amounts of blunt damage, though. I think the strike should be rather weak, but it should do significant DOT damage. That may be a discussion for another time in another thread, though.

@ Thothie -
Just because this guy is about to make an awesome venom themed blunt weapon does not mean we can't have a second venom/poison themed blunt weapon in the form of that club wielded by the hobgoblin in Gertenheld_cave. That club is seriously way too awesome to go unused. This is especially true if raiders blunt weapon focuses on DOT damage rather than blunt damage.

Well, my plans for the Mace of Affliction centered more around the AOE stun as special feature than the venom, actually - although the thing was to be able to launch face-eating poisonus skulls, as the V.Gobbie Cheif does.

Granted, more recently I was going to have the Fists of Stone do AOE stun when you slammed the ground - but I don't think Stoned is ever going to fix that model.

Stoned, I would love to see you use milkshape just to see your technique. Because you do things that I don't, sorry, that most everybody doesn't see.

The skull idea is freaking awesome. I would love to see a weapon like that, even if it did crap damage and was completely useless like the tork bows supposedly are. The coolness factor is just way too high.
Also, if having too many poison-style blunt weapons would be too much it probably would not be too difficult to give the club a different element. Perhaps give it a blue aura, stick it in the future 'caverns of frost' and make it shoot the face-eating ice skulls that plague the_wall?

@raider -
Why not make both of your concepts, but have the cobra staff act like the snake staff (crap damage) but let it summon the giant cobras from lodagond? Yes, I know, I am likely asking way too much in terms of effort, but you're a damn good modeler and a Hippopotamus can dream, can't he?

Or have one be actual poison, while the other is aimed at acid damage? (If Thoth would give that suggestion some blessing)

Somewhere over the rainbow.
IMO, I think it'd be sweet to have some dwarven steam tech pop up ingame. I remember Sabre posted some dwarvy chainshield a while ago.
