Cobra skins and Lizard skin.

So I was doing MS_Wicardoven the other day when It came to my mind.
Why are we not able to use lizard skin or cobra skin below our armour?

I think this will only make our gameplay problems worse.

I don't see how it could affect gameplay, seeing how it would mainly give you some fire or poison resistance and they are just basicly reskins of the normal attire that characters use.

If it gives you resistance it's affecting game play.

We already have a huge problem with defensive items that stack together. The consequence of developing this game with ice shield, gpop and armors that reduces damage by 50% is that we bottleneck ourselves early on. By the upper mid levels, most monsters are lame and frustrating and almost every map begins to require the same formula for success. By the time you reach high levels, the game itself is not very good.

Just imagine the game breaking effect that stacking gladiator armor with gold armor, ice shield and a gpop would have.

Instead, vest type armors should be given their own unique function to gear them towards a certain play style and help eventually usher in a class system.

Same reason every other RPG doesn't let you wear mystical leathers under your plate mail.

It'd itch too much.

More like, skins should boost ranged fighting. Plate should boost warrior-style combat. Robes should boost magic.
