I just beat a boss in one try that I had died to at least 10 times yesterday because I had overlooked the uber powerful drake sword. Its just like the Demons Souls cycle all over again.

If you see little bug eyed frog things, kill them fast, and don't let the gas cloud they spray touch you, you will regret it if it does

That area was pretty easy, what really pisses me off is the next area, Blighttown, where there are snipers with dart guns that poison you even if you have a shield up, and its a stronger kind of poison so purple moss clumps cant get rid of it.

I believe blossoming purple moss clumps cures that, just dick around in darkroot garden a bit and you'll find a few

I still need to play Demon's Souls. I want to play it online though, and don't feel like calling Sony to get my PSN account back.

It wouldn't matter if you had a PSN account because they took the servers down when they released Dark Souls.Without online, Demons Souls is pretty much half of a game.

Offline is still awesome, but without PvP or assistance from others, it doesn't feel the same.

Atlas is continuing online support for Demon Souls until sometime 2012.

Also, Dark Souls is fun. A friend of mine brought it over yesterday and we had a lot of fun with the class that starts with nothing but a plank shield and a club.

Oh really? I guess I was wrong, they must've put it back in. I lent my friend the game and he said it didn't have online. Anyways, after restarting Dark Souls TWO times, I realized that you can get out of Anor Londo, I thought you were left with your wits and couldn't get anything else.

I played Demons' Souls almost entirely offline, except for the few times I got invaded and the one time I had a phantom help me. I would say it's completely enjoyable offline, and every single boss can be defeated solo anyway.

Dark Souls is shaping up to be one of my favorite games. I really liked Demons but the world is much better in this one, along with more options for character building. If you skip Demons I don't think you'd miss out on anything that you can't get in Dark, simply because a few of the areas are completely in the style of the old game. Valley of Defilement = Blighttown, and the beginning of the game greatly mirrors the castle from Demons, except it's much brighter and less dismal looking.

The only place you can't get out of is the painted world, everywhere else you can backtrack to escape (although that might mean death!)

I'm lvl 60 deprived with a chaos zweihander about to take on seath. I completely destroyed O&S in all the times I helped other people and when I did it myself, so hopefully he won't be too hard... what am I saying, I hope he kicks my ass! He's gonna have a tough fight though, I just got the Greatshield of Artorias (with a stability of 88, it takes gigantic hits like a champ) and the ninja roll ring, so he's going to be fighting a stone tank with a 8' sword that can do handsprings.

Started NG+, and just got to blight town using the gravelords sword (love it), also the different covenants and how they do online is so much fun, I'm loving the forest hunters covenant
