I can't seem to figure it out, it's changed since I last played. Before you always lost 20% from a random skill.

I've died about 10 times, and only had one penalty in the log. 2% from parry and like 159 gp.

Do you not get a penalty evertime now? Can someone explain please?

How many % you loose is based on your skill. If your skill is above 20 (or something, don't remember) you only loose 10% and if your skill is above 30, you loose 2%.

I think it sometimes doesn't display. I sometimes die too, and it doesn't display.

That's the game telling you thirty times you're not powerful enough for that area ;)

At level 4, your best bet is to take a secondary weapon and train its skill to get more health, and bring some potions or apples, and head your way to the Edana Sewers.

Edrin, Captain of the Guard will direct you.

Focus on the bats, though. You're not quite ready for the zombies at level 4.

My information.
Unless you pulled a jack-of-all-trades... and everything is level four. Then you'd stand a chance.

Or if it's your SC at level four, because of fire-stacking (which would need to be like twenty or thirty, or more)... then the zombies go "sploded" before your fire-dart. :)

Of course, it'd be a living hell to get SC that high without leveling up other things... since HP is so critical in such a melee oriented setup...

May also be you went to a non-FN server, or FN had a hick-up, in which case, it'll be back, so long as you didn't make a new one in the same slot.
