Death % rates

Higher level the less % of experiance u lose from a death

doesn't make sence that a lvl 1 dies and lose 20% and gains it baack in one kill and a lvl 40 dies and takes him 1 week to gain that experiance back. If this is done we will see more people using other armors and not aob all over the place.

In case ye are missing the /sarcasm tag - it already works that way. By level 30 yer losing 1% XP per death. (Goes down 5% every 5 levels, to a min of 1%)

Actually its 2% (last time i died was in JAN2010b on nashalarath), unless its been changed recently

It is 2%, though 2% at level 39-40 means that you lose a few runs worth of experience.

Well... It's been like this for years... Twas one of the first things I did when Jester and I got the code to compile back in '06/'07.

Before that, however, it also used to be that, 90% of the time, you'd only lose XP from swordsmanship - but it'd always be 20% - thus everyone had really crappy swordsmanship - kinda the opposite of what we have now. >_>

Granted, max level was also less than 20 then - so it wasn't quite as far to fall - although it still hurt like a mofo.
