Is it possible to have commoners spawn with random dialog so that each time you load a map the npcs might say something different? The things they say could range from simple variants on 'Hail' to mentioning rumors or telling the players a little about the MSC lore. Some could even be looking for certain objects like pelts and would give you slightly more gold than a normal salesman npc.

If the above is possible, I'd love it even more if all of the generic, non quest related NPC's were given random names, as well. A (large) list of first and last names could be created for each town and the generic, unimportant NPCs would spawn with one first and one last name.

And finally, if all of the above is possible, what about having them spawn with random models so it isn't always the same faces strolling through the same areas? I think if these ideas were implemented it would make the game feel more alive.

Honestly, if someone was to make new faces, I would want all the faces to be well higher polly. ESPECIALLY the preist faces....need I explain why? Anyway back on topic, im sure its possible for MiB, CMD, or Thoth to come up with a system that can randomly generate strings....

I don't know. The concept of using random numbers to pick strings seems pretty far out there.

...do you use strings? Or do you do something entirely different when you give NPCs stuff to say?

Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
In other news, scientists recently developed some quantum computer that can actually pick a truly random number.
We should definitely get one of those to every MS:C player to make this work.
