I would like to have some critisicm from you guys, And I've a couple of questions.
What format of the models is prefered for the hlengine, and how do you import them.

Well, here's my first work. Well, i did the mace first.

And I know how to uv... kinda. But the only thing that got cut nicely was a sphere :oops:

HL works with .mdl format, not sure how you import models with Blender, never used it.

The sword looks great I must say, but Im more interested to see you improve the design of the mace.

It's sort of similiar to the BD mini version that shahaddar orcs use :wink:

Made a new sword, I might have stolen it from somewhere. I recognize that sword so hard. Any comments?

Questions !

Does it matter if you use quads in hl?
Any good poly limit on weapons?
Do you use any kind smoothing stuff on models, subsurf makes this look crap up to until level 3, and I dont think hl likes 20k faces =)

Post a picture with the wireframe

1- I dont even know what quads are :oops:
2- I dont think theres a poly limit, but it would help to keep it low, 2000-2500 should be the limit (for performance issues)
3- smoothing groups

I presume quads=quadrilaterals=four-sided shapes=squares. ;)
