FN newbie server

Hi there,
Since I don't know how to get useful contact information to a server, I'll just ask here.
From time to time (to be exact when it's evening in europe - 18-22 UTC - there are very little servers online.
Usually the three to four working ones are used by high level players.
So the impact of one of these servers not being able to connect to FN is even greater.
Since the FN newbie server does not connect to FN for about 2 days now I wondered why it is like that and if there is something to be done against it.

I'd put up my own small dedicated server, but since this is my first post here I'll probably not have gained enough trust.

That is a nice offer, but since i was not asking on my own behalf, I cannot do that.

I have this problem too Loki. I just started playing a few days ago and there are mostly high levels characters that want to do high level maps. I only get to play at random times and most of those times I can't play due to lack of servers or a low level server. I have the bandwidth and internet to run a server but I haven't gained enough trust either. Can anyone help solve this problem? I would really like to play and have a character that can interact with everyone else.

Jaythreee, post some more, and make sure your posts are good, worthwhile posts, and you should have no problem getting the password. I don't know what Blasto thinks as the "minimum" for posts (if he has one), but if you integrate yourself into the community and prove yourself as a productive member, getting the password will be easy.

Also right now as there is a patch around the corner there is a lack of servers. When next month's patch is out, you will see an explosion of servers again. I wish people who COULD host would also stop LOCKING their servers and leaving them for the most part EMPTY. I can see locking it if you want to play with only certain people, however theres no use in having a locked 0/x server at all.

Hopefully when FIoS gets to my community the family will upgrade and i'll try to work out a small server when I'm either not around or not stressing my comp which will be upgraded by then to maybe even run it full time.

I find this alot too. I think if i had been able to get onto a server for my lvl and be able to train with out lag and crashes i could be a much higher lvl by now. Hopefully *prays* blasto will grant me the pass so i can get a few newbie server up for all newbies (including me) playing only lower lvl maps, should be 24/7 so no worries about time differance.

I'd leave my server on all the time if MS wasn't so hard to host. It's hard to get going then destroys my computer exponentially over time.

I don't use DMZ but the longer I run MS the choppier and laggier my server gets. MS has long since been the buggiest yet most enjoyable game I know.

i run temp servers for most every HL mod out there and yet there is no point in running a temp msc except to practice with...I dont know about the minimum posts or what not but in my opinion if all it takes is posting and being a non cheater you would think there would be more servers....so Guys get posting i want to be able to play my character on any server that my friends are on so i dont have to have 2 different characters and get confused at which is which....
