Half-life minimizing problems.

Sometimes when joining a server, the game minimizes and I have to bring it back up myself. Now for the more weird part of this problem. Half-life will then only render the graphics when I've pressed escape and am in the main menu. When I press escape and get back into the game, it stops rendering and stays at the last rendered frame. Any ideas of what's causing this?

Well, the graphics bug is just because no program likes being minimized. The initial minimization is probably caused by a background program or something.

you probably don't have it, but retrospect.exe minimizes my programs whenever I play, so that might be the problem if you have that

The graphics bug has been around for as long as I remember (just from working on MS:C I would guess that it fails to properly set the hud pointer [for lack of a better term] and can't figure it out). Only solution is to restart the game :\

I think I may know why it's minimizing. Sometimes when I move my mouse over the "content hosting provided by" ad the game does that. try it out.

There isn't any add (this version is not legit), however it recently... stopped. I did nothing, but I haven't experienced it the last 20 or so times I created a listenserver. :roll:
