This one guy I've met before made a crack at Valentine's day, saying it was named after a knight named "Sir Valentines" who went around on a certain day in February killing everyone he met; soaking his armor & robe in blood, all out red blood soaked setup, and so they made Valentines Day & centered it on the color red.

These were the words of this guy though; he was unbelievably obsessed with the "Final Fantasy" series, and completely despised first-person-shooters...
