Help me. i Just installed the game...

Hi . plz help me. i had search all the topic in the forum but i still dont get it..

Here -- i install the game in my half life folder..

i open steam.. i click on the game and go in..

i create a server .. the map is mine..i think.. then i see a black screen and 3 slot for create character. i chose male. then my weapon..
but the black screen still there and the top of the screen said that

"can't create a character". i had check my SAve folder. i did update to v1.01 test.. plz help. i realy want to play this game.

i know many ppl have this problem too. If u solved it. plz tell me THANKSS
