hosting a game -crash

hey, recently "dont know why" when i try to host a game it crashes while loading... and goes to the starting screen... i reinstalled ms and still the same thing... can ne one help?

sv_lan can be changed in-game, just reset it back to 0 once you have your server up and other users should be able to join (though you might have to provide the IP address, I'm not sure if your server will appear on the server list).

It's a new Steam issue, not an MS issue, I doubt there's anything we can do save sit back and wait for Valve, sadly.

Since it's Steam, you can't downgrade to the previous version when something stupid like this happens, like you could with Won.

You can still start Dedicated servers just fine, but of course, that's a lot more complicated.

It doesn't affect all accounts, some users can still start Listen servers. I dunno if this is an account issue, or a configuration issue that previously wasn't a problem. If it's only a new config issue, there maybe a solution that doesn't involve waiting for Valve. So far no one's reported back from trying my configs, so we don't know for which it is.

I'd keep an eye out at the http://www.steampowered.com forums, see if anyone has another solution, yet.
